Manicured green lawns open to ocean breezes lie between the buildings and the beach. Though the ocean here is unsafe for anyone but the strongest swimmers and surfers, Lydgate County park on the resort's north side has excellent swimming, a broad beach, and a lifeguard. The vast park includes a large children's playground, showers, and picnic tables. Stairways, not elevators, provide access to upper floors.
